BUILDING A TEMPLE OF SPIRIT (Exodus 25)

Reverend Loving continues a metaphysical journey through the Bible in Exodus 25.

When we read Exodus 25, we have to keep in mind what Jesus said in Luke 17:21, that the Kingdom of God is neither here nor there, the kingdom of God is within us.

When we read Exodus 25, we have to keep in mind what Jesus said in John 14:20: “I am in my Father and you are in me, and I am in you.”

When we read Exodus 25, we have to acknowledge what Paul said in 1 Corinthians 6:19 — he said “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.”

In 2 Corinthians 6:16, Paul said “we are temples of the living God.”
Our journey through Exodus 25 allows us to open our awareness to accept ourselves as temples of the living God.
In the scripture, we learn that God says to Moses: “Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering — and not just from anyone but from those who hearts prompt them to give.”
Let’s resonant with that for a moment: what is this offering that God asks us to open our hearts to give?
Is Spirit telling us to bring bullocks and sheep to burn at the altar? Or to use a modern day analogy, is God saying bring the whole tithe into the storehouse? Is the universe telling us to release the flesh and take up instead the things of Spirit?
Yes.
